The Mental Health Writers’ Guild exists to encourage: positive, informative, inspirational writing in respect of Mental Health.
Doing so with the aim of ..
AIMS
a) Furthering a greater understanding of the issues and challenges relating to Mental Health and Mental Well-being.
b) Addressing and working towards the reduction and removal of the stigma often attached to poor mental health and/or mental illness.
c) Keeping people advised of any progress, research, developments or discoveries within the field of Mental Health and Mental Well-being.
d) Developing and/or encouraging an active community of writers in respect of Mental Health and Mental Well-being.
PURPOSES
a) To provide Guild Members with a clear and easy way of identifying other members.
b) To organize and provide regular competitions for its members.
c) To, where possible, keep abreast of and publicize any relevant research or developments within the fields of Mental Health and Mental Well-being.
I always thought that that aim, purpose and goal or mission are all synonyms of each other and can’t be used separately.
